ICC T20 World Cup Kits and Super 12‘s Preview

This week NumberNine and The Fool have a look at the ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE. The tournament has just started the Super 12 round, so the pair have decided to have a look at each group of six teams. In addition, they have also done a ranking on each team's kit. 

Seven Weeks In and Seven weeks ahead

NumberNine and The Fool are back once again, this time with a traditional EPL and Champions League podcast. In this episode the pair dive deep into the champions league fixtures, the fates of the big 6 (and Spurs and Arsenal) and the bottom 4 teams.
 
There is also some more Newcastle speculation, plus a glance over at AS Roma and the Serie A in Mourinho Watch.

The Rise of Newcastle and the Power of Money

Here are NumberNine and The Fool with another episode, a bit late but better than never! This time the dynamic duo have their take on the latest hot topic, the purchase of Newcastle United football club by a consortium headed up by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The two delve into other large purchases of football clubs, including Sheikh Mansour's purchase of Manchester City, and of course Roman Abramovich's  purchase of Chelsea back in 2003.

The Start of the EPL and the End of Arsenal.

Since we have had the international break, NumberNine and The Fool have a look over the first 3 games of the English Premier League. They discuss the big transfer moves at the end of the transfer window; Lukakku to Chelsea and the return of CR7 to ManUtd. Next a long discussion is also had over manager styles and if Arsenal can be saved. Then there is a brief look at AS Roma and how Jose Mourinho is doing, before the final segment looking at the group stage draw for the Champions league

Football as Sports Entertainment (Or The Third Super League Podcast)

NumberNine and The Fool once again discuss the great and wonderful world of football Super Leagues, from the ill-fated European Super League, to potential North American, South American (Pan American?) and ASEAN super leagues. This podcast also delves into the place of Football as an entertainment medium, and how that impacts the way we consume and expect our football to be.

The Live Fantasy EPL Draft

It's that time of the year again where we have our live Fantasy EPL draft night! This year we have 14 teams, with 11 people joining the live draft. Listen as everyone gets super excited about the draft, and see how long it takes them all to realise that the Fool was drafting as many Chelsea players as he could get away with.
After the live draft, NumberNine and The Fool continued on a bit to discuss the interesting transfer rumours surrounding Messi (which are now a week out of date!).

A New Start

And so we start the new season of football, and of course NumberNine and myself have a new podcast available! You can listen to it over on the Football section of the blog
In this episode NumberNine and myself do our traditional pre-season review of all the transfers in the EPL. We go through each team from Arsenal to Wolves and give each a grade on how good we feel their transfers have been. Also, This year we have a new special feature at the end of the podcast, so listen all the way through to hear what it is!

The First Live Podcast

NumberNine and The Fool had their first live podcast. The two talked mostly about the start of the (now rain delayed) test between NZ and India. We had hoped to have some live commentary of the test as well, but the rain in Southampton put pay to that idea. However, we were joined by our good friend niquist and we talked rubbish about the game, if it will get any play, and if so what might be some of the tactics and strategies in play given the weather. 

The ICC World Cup Final Preview Podcast

NumberNine and The Fool are here to talk some cricket! The ICC Test Championship final is nearly here and NumberNine and The Fool discuss the New Zealand team, the NZ summer of cricket and the NZ teams prospects in the upcoming final. Also, the two get a little side tracked into the admin of cricket and some improvements to the Test Championship, including relegation and promotion! The dynamic duo also talk a bit about the mental and emotional wellbeing of professional cricket players, as well as delve into the history of Brunei cricket, and how NumberNine was a critical part in setting up the high school season there.
